Wow, finally figured it out.

I made the group to invite only so we don't have to keep shooting people down like jerks. >A>
I did not know the option was available until recently, but now you admins don't have to worry about requests anymore!

People are more than welcome to watch the group, being a member needs to at least be someone we know personally. Admins, you still have the ability to invite people but I know I can trust you with the responsibility.
